In this post I will be outlining some facts regarding Snake Fist Karate.
- Now I have heard people say that Snake Fist was created based on the Cobra Kai TV show- this is not true. In fact, in real life, most of the actors from the Karate Kid films were not black belts, or even martial artists- strange but true. Snake Fist Karate is a real martial art system.
- Snake Fist Karate was created around the late 1980s/ early 1990s by Sensei Brett Ernest, in California. Although there is no real connection to any fictional Cobra Kai school, the SFKF is probably the nearest you will ever get to Cobra Kai.
- Snake Fist Karate is a superb martial art to learn from home. Learn without pressure, time limits or prejudice. You can learn a belt a year if you like- no problem.
- Snake Fist Karate is mostly hand strikes, but you will learn all you need to be as good as any black belt in any Dojo. Students learn blocks, blocking sets, drills, Kata, escape from holds and more.
- Snake Fist Karate does use kicks, but focuses more on the hands. If you wish to learn a style that focuses on kicks, try MFMA Taekwondo.
- The kicks in Snake Fist Karate are low, and for any experts in martial arts reading this, I think Wing Chun fans would definitely like Snake Fist Karate.
- The hand techniques of Snake Fist Karate are as good as any style in existence. We cannot promise that anyone who buys a course will become a master overnight. But we can guarantee that those who train just twice a week, will see a noticeable improvement in as little as a couple of months.
